¡pWrite…Full Circle

Once again I’m back in this place…you know where creativity takes over and brings you full circle? I think some of yall can feel me, maybe even hear me…but these are not just words but my feelings because I’ve not been feeling like working with my craft…I suppose in a world of thought and sometimes that may be just exactly what is necessary! but it’s back that craving desire…that burning flava that artist use to toss words here and there with much consideration and sometimes not even one single care…but words that paint pictures creating images of thoughts turning to words…you know like vibrations from my rythem…can you hear me…or even feel me…all I’m saying is that once again I’m back in this place.

It’s funny because when I picked up my laptop and decided that I wanted to write I simply wanted to share that…it’s been a minute since I’ve felt like writing…which is of course a strange and foreign concept – despite the fact that it’s really not foreign because it’s happened before…LOL **SMH** I digress. But all in all I’m back to wanting to write.

I’m just excited about the things God is doing in my life and thankful for the continual blessing that are bestowed upon me with favor. Give thanks…Give thanks…it’s Holy week…Resurrection Sunday is only days away…I feel like there is so much that I want to get started and completed this week that it’s gong to just fly….bye!

God Bless

Ms. Peaches…

You Hindered Me…

Angrily, infuriated by the
Lies the deceit, all the ways
You misrepresented yourself
With me…but you see
Maybe I too, told little white
Lies, come on don’t act surprised
You never believed in me
As you see, you were much too busy
Selling lies of a lifeless dream
Sewn at the seam by
Nothing more than
Angry frustrations of countless
Times where I believed
Your words were not
Lies, nor deceit, neither
Misrepresentations because
It was you that asked for me
It was you that got together
It was you that was the mastermind
Which is probably why
I never even saw it coming
Blinded and by the waste
Side…trailing off, falling
Short from victories
Because your lies, intertwined
With webs of deceit
Have surely entangled
Me and I am no longer
Free…for Mis-representation

Am I the only one who forgot to wear green today? LOL…I spoke with a familiar friend today and had a delightful conversation….I find that I now have more time for telephone calls [though aren’t phone calls a thing of the past? LOL]…and with comcast being broken I have no sense of time when I’m sitting in the living room…so here I am blogging at 11:50pm…Thank Goodness tomorrow is Friday…and it’s going to be warm! yay! I’m so excited that the cold is finally moving away.

I started another step in my spiritual wellness today which includes making sure life is secure…so that was exciting to do…I have new strict guidelines I’m going to adhere to…possibly beyond this phase in my spiritual journey. I’m excited. And God has blessed me to be able to go on vacation this spring! I’m way too excited about this!

your touch, your kiss
your words saying to
me that I am sweet
mean the absolute
most to me, your
kindness, your warm
welcoming arms when
you hold me, baby
are you aware of
all that you do to me?
my words, turned poetic
creating a symphony of all
the feelings you create
inside of me, even when
you’re not right next to me
I hold tight to your energy
Loving the electricity
It creates within me
I’ll sing you my song if
you give me your listening
ear, I’ll caress your mind,
while making love to you
intellectually, cuz it’s not
just you physically that
does all the things that you
do to me, but your inner
being that makes me
so weak – you’ve really
captured me…

Now that I’m getting back in the grind of “regular” life…my balance is starting to return…I’m exciting to have kicked off the Love Series Poetry!!! I’m still excited to not be watching TV…I actually cooked tonight in my long awaited cookware…you have no idea how when you have the right [versus the wrong] cookware what a difference it makes! Next weeks Peachee Plate will be awesome!

Peachee Plates ~ Wk 1

Welcome to Peachee Plates!!! I am so happy that you decided to join me in viewing my very first recipe post. As many of my frequent readers know I love love love to cook and as we kicked off the celebration to 10k hits last week I’m very excited about this post!

Ingredients list
• 1/2 package of ground Italian sausage
• 1/3 package of Turkey Kielbasa [sausage]
• 1 can of Hunts diced tomatoes
• 1/3 Orange Bell Pepper
• Green Onion
• 1 bag of Fresh baby spinach
• Spray Olive Oil [Pam]

This particular recipe is for a serving size of 3 as is the calorie breakdown, but if you decided to not half or third any of the ingredients this could possibly serve 6-8 people.

Serving size: 3
Calories: [check back for update]

Prep Work:

• Rinse all fresh veggies
• Dice/Slice
o Bell Pepper, Green Onion, Asparagus and Turkey Kielbasa

Use a deep skillet and turn on to medium-low heat, add half the pack of the Ground Italian Sausage. Next you will take 1/3 of the Turkey Kielbasa dice it up or slice it up any way you’d like and toss it in the skillet with the Ground Italian Sausage. It’s my preference to char the sausage a tad because I enjoy that “I’m burnt” a little flavor. As the meat becomes DONE lower the heat, toss your Green Onions in [stir and let simmer].

In a smaller skillet on low-medium heat spray with Olive Oil [Pam] then toss in the Asparagus and Bell Pepper [cook to taste] likely only needs to be cooked for 3-5 minutes to avoid extreme mushy-ness then toss it into the skillet with the Sausage.

Now take your can of Diced Tomatoes and add it on top of your Sausage and Green Onion, Asparagus and Bell Pepper, add some seasoning/spices [to your liking] stir and just let it simmer (occasionally stirring).

Grab your bag of Fresh Baby Spinach and since there are barely any calories in spinach you can use as much or as little as you want but think like your making a salad.

Now take your “THE NO ANTI-PASTA [no pasta] SALAD” and add a few spoonfuls atop your plate of Spinach…If you don’t eat meat please substitute with your favorite veggies that you love cooked! You must use the diced canned tomatoes as it keeps the spinach from welting and acts as a surprisingly tasty salad “dressing” ENJOY!

Enjoy your Peachee Plate! Come back next week for another recipe.

What an exhausting day today was…well I did get on a red eye to come back the far right coast…and because I’m crazy on some level I did not take the day off from work (can’t un-necessarily waste PTO) so I drove home, showered and headed out for work…once I got home I was tired but couldn’t fall straight asleep…but I didn’t try and resort to the TV all is good…I’ve not been back in the gym yet since I’ve been home…but I’m back on the grind starting this weekend…can’t believe Ieft my weight gloves in my cousins’ car… what can you do…LOL I can’t wait to get into the gym and do the stuff my cousin had me doing when she and I worked out together…makes the weights seem less intimidating and spicing up my 5 day a week work outs…man…I have to increase my gym time…this will be a challenge in the beginning but Healthy Heart and body is the mission! Onward we go!

Well today was my last day…I had to say good by to my lil’ Lady Bug and now I’m sad…for I traded her heavenly baby scent for that of an over exposed neatly stacked and produced structure that tens times tens of thousands of people travel in and out of…life I put on pause and life I must return for there is work much work to be done…so I wanted to turn the TV on during the plane ride and politely turned to Nickelodeon and felt awful and programed the music which meant I wasn’t sleep before take off…& I pre-ordered a Ginger Ale for my tummy sometimes despises the high rises to thousands of feet in the air and they marked my order complete but didn’t not give me my drink so I ordered again to be disrupted in my slumber when the lady brought it near…and just think I traded this for the heavenly scent of my Lady Bugs Hemisphere…and again…#thatISall

I only have 1 day left before I must return to normal life practices on the far right coast…I’ve been enjoying the time I’m getting to spend with my lil’ Lady Bug and my sister…oh my Lady Bug is my niece…she’s so tiny and she turns red when she gets upset…perfect nickname ~ Lady BuG~ oh man I’m so in love with her just like when I was blessed with my first niece…kids have such a wonderfully happy effect on your inner core! Yea, that is all…

It’s been kind of great to start this season while off from work. Granted I’m still not enjoying the fact that I don’t have internet access and to top that off Comcast has to come out and fix some stuff at home because my internet and my cable is on the fritz or was when I left home. So I’ll return and have to deal with that – can’t say that makes me happy in the least but it is what it is and I’m going to get it done. My cousin is back in town so I’m gong to the gym with her in the morning – definitely will be using one of those 7 day guest passes! Bedtime comes earlier tonight than any other night – unless I get too wrapped up in this book to stop! LOL

Things are going better than I anticipated. Despite the fact that I’ve given up television and have no true access to the Internet this seems to be a smooth successful transition. I actually have no desire to watch the idiot box at all. I thought I’d be able to get so much blogging done while in Cali but not so much and that’s a little disappointing.

I’m very excited to be at home [my niece is so precious!!! And tiny newborns are priceless!) and everyone seems to think I’m crazy to have given up TV and that I will be extremely bored…the question continues to be posed…”OMG, what are you going to do?” my answer continues to be…umm how about something more productive. Not to say that TV cannot be productive but not the TV that I’m usually finding myself interested in watching. There’s a lot more quite time when you don’t have the television on to create that “background” noise… my sister thinks that she needs to entertain me because I’m not watching TV but I continue to tell her that she doesn’t need to do a thing I’m fine.

Happy Ash Wednesday! And MOST importantly praise God for all of you out there that participate in the Lenten Season – (Catholic or not).  This is probably my 8th or 9th year practicing lent. One of the things that I decided to give up is [regular] Television.  Which let me tell you is some kind of bummer as I’m writing this on a 5 ½ hour flight on Virgin America Airlines – which is an airlines with TVs!!! So what have I been doing?

Since my flight left early morning and I’d been up since 4:30 am I decided to nap…while listening to music via the monitor they provided…so after my 3 hour nap I was sitting here listening to much when I realized I was staring at someone else’s television screen in a seat diagonal from mine…SMH when I realized I was staring [at I don’t even know what he was watching] I decided it was time to pull out my trusty MacBook and start doing some blog prep.

Today is quite a day! The Kick off of the Peacheeee Celebration to 10,000 HITS! The start of Lent! And the day I meet my new niece for the first time so maybe I need a better word than EXCITED!!! However, there comes some worry in the fact that I know my sister has not given up TV for Lent and I will have to find a place of solace and no Television to do some blogging or reading….or something other than watch TV…aka IDIOT BOX –

Unless my sister wants to kick it and watch a documentary or two with me cuz that’s the only exception to the rule—I made this exception because while I am definitely giving up TV so that I can use my extra time more wisely I think documentaries are educational and I hardly watch them when the alternative is Nick @ Nite!
