Now that I’m Here

As my mind tries to center, to register focus

flashes of your image appear to me, more clear

than if you’d just been here, but it was me

that was there with you, my imagination wanders

and find you there waiting, in the misty,

late night airs chill, your face lights mine, when I

gaze upon your smile, your reach, your touch,

your kiss all takes me in, and I feel so warm within

because, it’s not a dream, we’re really standing here,

together and the world around me, is simply standing still,

‘cuz nothing even matters now that I’m here
